We have deviated from the ways mother nature intended us to sleep.
Avoid using smartphones or any blue light-emitting devices one hour before bedtime.
Fix a set time to get into the bed and turn off the lights.
Caffeine slows down sleep-promoting chemicals. Avoid drinking coffee or alcoholic drinks within six hours of bedtime.
The more you use the bed for other activities like working from bed. The brain starts losing its association of the bed with sleep.
For a life of betterment, you will have to fall in love with sleep again.
